Throwback Thursday – Wolf by Wolf (Wolf By Wolf #1) by Ryan Graudin

throwbackthursday

Renee began Throwback Thursday at Its Book Talk as a way to share some of her old favorites as well as sharing books that she wants to read that were published over a year ago. Books that were published over a year ago are almost always easier to find at libraries or at a discounted sale price. As I have been sifting through my TBR list and purging those books that no longer hold my interest, I came across several from years past that I’d love to share with you! Continue reading

WWW Wednesday – February 20

WWWWednesday

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam at Taking on a World of Words and was formerly hosted by A Daily Rhythm. It is open for anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answers. It is a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments section of Sam’s blog.

The three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

“But when from a long-distant past nothing subsists, after the people are dead, after the things are broken and scattered, taste and smell alone, more fragile but more enduring, more unsubstantial, more persistent, more faithful, remain poised a long time, like souls, remembering, waiting, hoping, amid the ruins of all the rest; and bear unflinchingly, in the tiny and almost impalpable drop of their essence, the vast structure of recollection.”

The Book of Lost Fragrances (Reincarnationist #4) by M.J. Rose. I have a great love of M.J. Rose. Every book I’ve read of hers has transported me and touched me. So far, this one has been no different. Some people don’t like her style of writing but it really speaks to me. It can go from short, declarative sentences to lengthy, flowery descriptions. I love these books and her writing.

What did you recently finish reading?

Uuuuhhhh. I haven’t been reading much, alright? I finished a book that I really loved (Invictus by Ryan Graudin) in January and just haven’t been able to get back into the reading mojo. No big deal, right? It happens, we all have those reading slumps. Hopefully get the vibe back soon.

What do you think you’ll read next?

As Rielle and Eliana fight in a cosmic war that spans millennia, their stories intersect, and the shocking connections between them ultimately determine the fate of their world–and of each other.

Furyborn (Empirium #1) by Claire Legrand. I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this…just as my reading slump hit. I’m hoping to pick it up and get into the story soon. The early reviews have been amazing so I have high hopes.
