A Look Back | Reading Goals for 2021

At the beginning of 2021, I made a list of bookish goals I hoped to accomplish throughout the year. I tried not to make them unattainable goals but just things that would (hopefully) bring me more reading joy throughout the year.

Stat That | 2021

In years past, I never really kept track of my reading stats. I’m not sure why, I had just never looked into how to keep track of them with any kind of organization, or accuracy, outside of the Goodreads platform. However, in 2021, I started using a reading tracker that was created by Hardback Hoarder. The spreadsheet set she created made it simple to keep track of everything I read and gave me some colorful graphs and stats that I’d love to share with you all!

Favorite Reads of 2021

At the end of 2021 I, quite honestly, got a little overwhelmed. The holidays just hit differently this year and I needed a little break so I took a purposeful step back in December 2021. With that in mind, all of my end of the year 2021 things are coming to you in early 2022! May this year be better than the last two.

However, in 2021 I did end up reading a bunch of great books! Also some real duds but we’ll talk about those later. For now, let’s take a peak back at my favorite reads from 2021.

Wrapping Up 2021

Welcome one, welcome all to the yearly wrap up here at Literary Weaponry! While 2021 was certainly not my best blogging year (lets not even pretend to look at those stats) it was my most successful reading year. By successful I don’t mean only the amount of books I read (although there were a lot more than usual) but also the enjoyment factor of reading.

October Wrap Up

Life is confusing. I finally got my reading mojo back which abandons me for a few months every summer but it always seems to come back with the first tickling of fall. Then, I don’t feel like blogging and I got bogged down doing some class work that took a great deal of what remaining brain power I have left.
