Alosa’s mission is finally complete. Not only has she recovered all three pieces of the map to a legendary hidden treasure, but the pirates who originally took her captive are now prisoners on her ship. Still unfairly attractive and unexpectedly loyal, first mate Riden is a constant distraction, but now he’s under her orders. And she takes great comfort in knowing that the villainous Vordan will soon be facing her father’s justice.

When Vordan exposes a secret her father has kept for years, Alosa and her crew find themselves in a deadly race with the feared Pirate King. Despite the danger, Alosa knows they will recover the treasure first . . . after all, she is the daughter of the Siren Queen.  Continue reading

Princess Lira is siren royalty and the most lethal of them all. With the hearts of seventeen princes in her collection, she is revered across the sea. Until a twist of fate forces her to kill one of her own. To punish her daughter, the Sea Queen transforms Lira into the one thing they loathe most—a human. Robbed of her song, Lira has until the winter solstice to deliver Prince Elian’s heart to the Sea Queen or remain a human forever. Continue reading

Reign of the Fallen (Reign of the Fallen #1) by Sarah Glenn Marsh

When I first saw this book announced during the summer of 2017 I was terribly excited to get my hands on it. As soon as it popped up on Netgalley in October, I believe it was, I requested it immediately. Of course, then I waited three months and had forgotten I had requested it until I got that magic “this book is now available to you” e-mail. I love those e-mails and I was especially excited for this book.  Continue reading

“Irene made a private mental resolution that if she ever became a queen, her throne would incorporate a cushion. Also a convenient bookcase.”

Here we are again with Genevieve Cogman’s The Invisible Library series. This is the fourth book in the series that I have read and reviewed and Cogman never disappoints. We are once against back with Irene Winters and her friend/coworker/dragon/assistant/whatever Kai. They both work for The Library whose employees go between different worlds and dimensions in search of rare books to bring back and add to their collection. This Library exists between worlds and is only accessible after years of training to become a Librarian.  Continue reading

Throwback Thursday – A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

throwbackthursday

Renee began Throwback Thursday at Its Book Talk as a way to share some of her old favorites as well as sharing books that she wants to read that were published over a year ago. Books that were published over a year ago are almost always easier to find at libraries or at a discounted sale price. As I have been sifting through my TBR list and purging those books that no longer hold my interest, I came across several from years past that I’d love to share with you! Continue reading

Book Spotlight – Bonfire by Krysten Ritter

BOOKSPOTLIGHT

Each week in my Book Spotlight piece I will be bringing you an upcoming release. These books are ones I am excited about whether they be from a new or an established author. This week’s book comes from actress/author Krysten Ritter. She would be most recognizable from her roll as Jessica Jones. Ritter has now branched out into the literary world with her novel BonfireContinue reading
