Some people are hard and fast DNFers. And, yes, I am using that as a verb, thanks for noticing. Other people wouldn’t DNF a book for anything. Me, I’m somewhere in between. I’ll not finish a book if it has content I find triggering, if I find the plot simply not to my taste, if I’m not in the mood to read the book at that time…the reasons are endless.

September Wrap Up

Looking back, it seems that every year I have the same issue. All summer, June – August, I barely read. On the rare occasion I do pick up a book more often than not I DNF it. I don’t know what it is about summer but it makes me miserable and when I am unhappy I don’t want to read or do much of anything, quite frankly.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week they provide a topic and you are free to use that topic and/or variations of that topic to make your top ten list. You don’t have to do all ten. Instead you can do three, five, fifteen, whatever you want. A full list of the weekly themes can be found here.

Choosing to not finish reading a book once you have started it has been a hot topic with readers for as long as I can remember. Once I joined the book blogging community it became even more apparent what a minefield of a topic it was.

I am ashamed. I put this tag into my drafts folder months ago and complete forgot to note where I found it. Yikes! All I know is that it was on someone named Jade’s blog. Jade, if you’re out there, let me know so I can link back to you!
Since I am currently feeling a little under the weather I decided to do a simple tag today. My brain is in a fog and I’m lucky enough to know my name right now, no less be witty about some bookish things. Without further ado… Continue reading
October Reading Wrap Up

Here we are, the end of October, and only two months left this year. Terrifying concept, isn’t it? I swear, the older I get the faster and faster time goes. I’m sure we could get into a whole discussion about how all time is relative but that is far too big of a hole to be jumping into today. Instead, lets have our October Reading Wrap Up!
