The End of Year Book Tag is always one that makes me chuckle. I’ve looked back at past posts I’ve done under this tag and, well, it is absolute chaos. Do I ever end up reading the books I name that I want to by the end of the year? Nope. Do I stick to any reading plans I have for the beginning of the next year? Of course not. But I enjoy doing it anyway so please join me in the End of the Year Book Tag for 2021.

October Wrap Up
Life is confusing. I finally got my reading mojo back which abandons me for a few months every summer but it always seems to come back with the first tickling of fall. Then, I don’t feel like blogging and I got bogged down doing some class work that took a great deal of what remaining brain power I have left.
So, in a nut shell, today we will be talking about what I read in October2021even if I did not really blog about it very much.

I give up. This year has both flown by and crawled, merely inching passed. I don’t know what to think anymore. Time is a construct and COVID has tossed all sense of time flow on its head. Be that as it may, here I sit, still reading. Let me tell you, September involved both comfort reading and trying something outside of my usual genre preferences and even reading something I really wasn’t sure I’d like. So let’s take a look back at September and see how it all went down.

I’ve mentioned here and on social media that I have gone back to university. Being well into my 30s I’ve found it a bit of struggle but it is something that is important to me and to furthering my career so I decided it was well past time to finish my degree.
But I need your help.
The class I’ve used as a jumping off point requires interviews as part of research. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m still social distancing to the best of my ability. I have a child that is not yet eligible for the vaccine and keeping those dreaded germs away from her is my highest priority. To say the least, it makes face to face interactions and observing social spaces a little bit difficult.
Thats where you come in.

The fourth quarter of 2021 is has already snuck up on us. Wasn’t I just writing my second quarter post last week? What happened? Granted, I always end up feeling like this at the end of summer. Summer is just…this empty span of time I have to suffer through. Some folks may love summertime but I am not among them. I grew up in the mohave desert and I never, ever want to be that warm again. The heat makes me think of misery and torture. But, that’s just me. Now that fall is here I am once again excited to get outside and get some reading done to the dancing of crunchy leaves!
