Throwback Thursday – Cut to the Quick (Julian Kestrel Mysteries #1) by Kate Ross

Renee began Throwback Thursday at Its Book Talk as a way to share some of her old favorites as well as sharing books that she wants to read that were published over a year ago. Books that were published over a year ago are almost always easier to find at libraries or at a discounted sale price. Holiday Hiatus

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to let all of you lovely folks know that I will be on hiatus until after the holiday. This is the first year my daughter has been really into the holiday, my dog is really sick, I’m going to have a long drive the day after Christmas to take my girl to see her grandparents, and I need to finish my edits before the first of the year. To say I’m feeling a little stressed over Christmas would be an understatement. I wish I had enjoyed it more as a child, just like naps.

But, after I get home, I’m going to hop back into Literary Weaponry. There are so many books I’m looking forward to in 2018 that I’m itching to talk about with everyone.

Be safe and be happy.

A Treacherous Curse (Veronica Speedwell #3) by Deanna Raybourn (ARC)

ATreacherousCurse

“I assure you, I am perfectly capable of identifying a phallus when I see one,” Stoke informed me, clipping the words sharply. “And that is no such thing.”

A Treacherous Curse (Veronica Speedwell #3) by Deanna Raybourn. I am going to preface my review with a a personal note. This was the first eARC I have received that caused jubilation. I requested this book from NetGalley never expecting to get it. When that accepted e-mail hit my inbox I legitimately danced for joy. I absolutely adored the first two books in this series, A Curious Beginning and A Perilous Undertaking, and to get my hands on this one early was wonderful. Continue reading
