Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week they provide a topic and you are free to use that topic and/or variations of that topic to make your top ten list. You don’t have to do all ten. Instead you can do three, five, fifteen, whatever you want. A full list of the weekly themes can be found here.
This week’s theme is Top Ten Books I’m Looking Forward to In 2018 (These could be new releases, or books you resolve to read, ten debuts we are looking forward to, etc.). While I am still on a semi hiatus for the next couple of days I couldn’t pass up this topic. There are so many upcoming releases in 2018 that I’m itching to read!
Iron Gold (Red Rising Saga #4) by Pierce Brown – I want this book now. Right now. No I don’t want to wait. GIMMEGIMMEGIMME! The first three books of the Red Rising series floored me with their magnificence, especially Golden Son, and I cannot wait to jump back into the Red Rising world. (January 16)
Everless (Untitled #1) by Sara Holland – An early review of this book describes it as having a “desperate tone and an eerie calmness.” I was interested in this book anyway but that simple phrase makes me want it even more! (January 2)
Reign of the Fallen (Reign of the Fallen #1) by Sarah Glenn Marsh – This is another book that makes me want to do the grabby hands. The description catches my attention, the early reviews are raving over it, and that cover art needs to be on my shelf. (January 23)
Rage (Stormheart #2) by Cora Carmack – The first book in this series, Roar (Stormheart #1), left me wanting more. I need to know what happens with these characters and how the world will either be saved or fall to the elusive villain. (June 5)
A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3.5) by Sarah J. Maas – Yes, yes, I know, I’m 100% on the hype train for this. The third book in the series left me annoyed and disappointed but I am still going to pick this up anyway. I just won’t be able to help myself. (May 1)
Vengeful (The Villains #2) by V.E. Schwab – Pretty much anything Schwab releases I am going to hop on and devour. I love her writing and she shares so much of her process and life with her fans through social media, she is just amazing. The above cover art is for book one of the series, Vicious. (September 25)
Ash Princess (Untitled Trilogy #1) by Laura Sebastian – So, I was lucky enough to get an eARC of this book last week but haven’t had the time to get through it yet. I will say that I am about 25% in and, while it is not what I was expecting, it is still a pretty good read so far. (April 24)
The Lost Plot (The Invisible Library #4) by Genevieve Cogman – I have already read and reviewed the first three books of this series and am itching to hop into the fourth. Cogman is an amazing writer and, while book two of the series fizzled a little for me, the series itself is well worth the read. (January 9)
Ace of Shades (The Shadow Game #1) by Amanda Foody – When I read Foody’s debut novel, Daughter of the Burning City, I knew I would be picking up her books again. Her writing style flows nicely and there were no loose ends dangling about to annoy me. Very much looking forward to what she does in this novel. (April 10)

Of course, there are probably a dozen more books coming out in 2018 that I am going to pick up but these are currently at the top of my list. What 2018 releases are you most looking forward to?

OMG VICIOUS HAS A SEQUEL?! *cue happy dance* This is so exciting!!!!! 🙂

I’m currently reading an ARC of Everless and I like it so far. I was dying for an ARC of Ash Princess but didn’t get it. I really hope you like it! And I have been eagerly waiting for Vengeful since forever! I’m so excited for it to come out!

Ash Princess so far is a little bit of a let down. How is Everless going? I keep eyeballing that cover and want it more and more.

That’s disappointing. I hope it picks ups and gets better. And I already finished and reviewed Everless in case you want to check that out. I gave it a solid three stars. It was alright but too similar too all the other YA fantasies.

I actually just finished it and I must say that it picked up considerably in the second half. Everless is the next on my TBR as I just snagged a copy and it is mocking me from my bookshelf.

Ace of Shades was on my list this week too! I totally forgot about Reign of The Fallen and I don’t know why because it sounds so good and it is on my GR 2018 releases shelf!

Out of everything, I`ve had only Everless on my list, but a lot of these books sound really interesting. Guess I`ll add even more books to my ever-growing TBR.

I am really excited about Reign of the Fallen. The early reviews have all been really positive about it. Can’t seem to get my hands on an ARC, unfortunately.

Vengeful and Sarah J Maas’ books are definitely some of my most anticipated books in the upcoming year as well. 🙂 Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous choices! ❤
